Outside bets
Unlike inside bets, outside ones have lower payout rates, but much higher probability of winning, so it’s reasonable to start with them if you are learning how to play Roulette or don’t want to put your money at risk.
Odd or Even — a bet placed either on all the odd or all the even numbers;
Red or Black — the same thing, but a bet is placed on black or red numbers;
1-18, 19-36 — in this case, you bet on one of the two sectors of the wheel, either a “high” or “low”;
Columns — a bet placed on one of three columns of the betting table;
Dozens — make this bet if you can guess on which dozen of numbers a ball is going to stop.
How To Win Big in a Roulette
Don't rely on reviews or anonymous forum posts. They are easily faked. Often "system sellers" write false positive reviews of their own system, and false negative information about competitors. The manipulation is often elaborate, so don't believe the first thing you read.

En prison rule — this rule can only be applied on the even money bets. Once a Roulette ball lands on a zero pocket, a dealer will mark your bet with the “en prison” sign. If your next bet is a winning one, you’ll get everything that was imprisoned back.

Basic Roulette Betting Strategies
We are almost done with numbers and rules, and the last thing to mention in this Roulette guide is that there are several betting strategies you can use to minimize your losses and increase potential wins.
The Fibonacci. You have probably heard about the Fibonacci sequence where each number presents a sum of the previous two numbers: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc. On top of everything else, it’s used as a Roulette betting strategy. You are supposed to make a bet, let’s say NZ$1. Then, you bet NZ$1 again and follow it with a NZ$2 bet. And every time you lose, you increase your bet according to the Fibonacci sequence.
The Martingale. This is the easiest and the most popular Roulette betting strategy that requires you to double your bet every time you lose. So if you bet NZ$15 and lose, your next bet should be NZ$30, NZ$60, NZ$120, and so on, right until you finally win.
The Labouchere. This is a more complicated strategy that needs some prep-work. Write down a sequence of numbers — a random one or a simple 1234. Your every bet should be the sum of the first and the last digit of your sequence. So, the first bet is NZ$5. If you win, you cross 1 and 4 out. If you lose, you put 5 at the end of the sequence and keep betting.
I know that these rules and strategies look too complicated and you are tempted to just randomly bet on every number you see, but give them and try and you’ll see how your winnings and the overall quality of your gambling sessions immediately increase.
